TOKYO - Conrad Tokyo's chief concierge Yasutoshi Abe was recently awarded the crossed gold keys pin by Les Clefs d'Or, welcoming him as a member of the prestigious international association dedicated to ensuring memorable guest experiences.  The gold keys pin is a recognized symbol of exceptional, professional service bestowed after a rigorous assessment of a concierge member's quality of service, commitment and passion.

"I am delighted that Yasutoshi Abe has been recognized Les Clefs d'Or as it is the highest of professional accolades. At Conrad Tokyo, we are committed to delivering our guests one-of-a-kind experiences and the luxury of being themselves. An excellent concierge can transform a guest's experience of a city and Mr. Abe stands out for his unique sense of hospitality and dedication," said Gregor Andréewitch, general manager, Conrad Tokyo.

The Union Internationale des Concierge d'Hotels (UICH) was created in France in 1929 to assist and provide better services by sharing expertise and information. Since its inauguration, numerous regional sections have been created around the world, with Japan established as the 33rd section country in 1997.

Yasutoshi Abe, who is also a member of the Japan Concierge Association, joined the hotel as chief concierge in 2007 bringing with him a wealth of experience from previous roles in international hotels in Japan and overseas.

Officially introduced as a new UICH 'Les Clefs d'Or' adherent member on November 14, 2012, Yasutoshi Abe said, "It is an honor for me to be welcomed to Les Clefs d'Or. To wear the gold keys pin is a great responsibility; it guarantees the very highest level of service whether I am helping to expedite a guest's business arrangements or recommending Tokyo's best sightseeing attractions for a family staying at the hotel.  It is about providing an experience that makes all the difference to your stay."
